This model was designed specifically for student accommodation, Universities, Boarding schools etc. It gives increased headroom compared to a standard single, when sitting on the bed. It also has integrated ‘top box’ storage making it a cost-saving alternative to a single with separate Top Box. For ultimate robustness, value for money and rigidity, these are manufactured in light oak melamine and have a solid bed base.
The Universal StudyBed offers a full-size single bed (190 cm x 90 cm, 6ft 3in x 3ft) plus a large work area (190 cm x 60 cm). The built-in top box cupboard provides very useful storage and the taller frame not only gives extra headroom (ideal for teenagers who may want to sit on the bed) but allows for the inclusion of integrated shelving too. There is plenty of room to attach pin-boards, pictures, posters etc to both the desk and bed backs.
The Universal StudyBed is also compatible with our matching height wardrobes, bookcases and under-desk units should they be required.
As with all StudyBeds it is very light in operation and can be converted easily in seconds by just about anyone. It allows items up to 44 cm to remain on the desk when converted.
