  • 4ft Small Double mattress size (120 cm x 190 cm)
  • Large Desk area (60 cm x 190 cm)
  • Choice of finishes:  Light Oak, or bespoke painted
  • Width:                       207 cm
  • Height:                      160 cm
  • Depth as desk:           102 cm
  • Depth as bed:             132 cm

Still very compact as a desk, the Small Double provides either a generously sized single bed or occasional double. The top rail also provides a very useful wide shelf surface. There is plenty of room to attach pin-boards, pictures, posters etc. to both the desk and bed backs.

As with all StudyBeds it is very light in operation and can be converted easily in seconds by just about anyone. It allows items up to 45 cm to remain on the desk when converted. A Top Box can be added to optimise space, likewise a mobile under-desk cabinet.

Please note that prices exclude mattresses (which you can swap from an existing bed or purchase from us separately) and delivery/installation charges which start at £192.

We can also supply the same model, slightly shorter, so that it takes a 6ft long rather than 6ft 3 mattress, and the overall frame length is 199 cm. We can also supply a mattress to fit from our standard range, as well as an exact match Top Box. There is no extra charge for these models

Open Sprung

Our coil mattresses are handmade in Britain using the best available materials. The base is constructed using 13.5 gage Bonnell springs. The mattresses are then hand filled with a wool felt insulator. The covers are hand finished using 100% cotton fabric for extra comfort.

Medium to firm, rating 7 on the firmness scale.

Open Sprung with Memory Foam

Our memory foam mattresses are handmade in Britain using the best available materials. We have added a 45 mm layer of visco elastic to our open coil sprung base giving a high level of comfort without the issue of overheating commonly associated with memory foam mattresses. The mattresses are then hand filled with a wool felt insulator. The covers are hand finished using 100% cotton fabric for extra comfort.
